摘要: We explore the intellectual subject structure and research themes in software engineering through identification analysis of a core journal literature. examine this literature via two expert perspectives: that author, who identified significant work by citing it (journal cocitation analysis), professional indexer, tags published with terms to facilitate retrieval from bibliographic database (subject profile analysis). The data sources are SCISEARCH (the on-line version Science Citation Index), INSPEC (a covering engineering, computer science, information systems). use visualization tools (cluster analysis, multidimensional scaling, PFNets) show “intellectual maps” engineering. Cocitation analyses demonstrate is distinct interdisciplinary field, valuing practical applied aspects, spanning continuum “programming-in-the-small” “programming-in-the-large.” This mirrors development life cycle taking operating system or major application initial programming project management, implementation, maintenance. Object orientation an integral but area Key differences importance management programming: (1) emphasizes systems development; (2) techniques/languages more influential profiles; (3) profiles place object-oriented journals separately centrally while locates these programming/languages group.
