Doppler ultrasonography of the central retinal artery in patients with diabetes and vascular disease treated with topical timolol

摘要: Using high-resolution duplex scanning it is possible to evaluate the blood flow velocity in central retinal artery of eye. Four different patient groups were studied with this technique: normals, diabetics a decreased flow, an increased and vascular patients flow. The eyes these then treated topical timolol measured again. An increase was found three four groups. This may be due vasodilatory effect timolol. results are presented discussed.
