摘要: The proteins encoded by the VpreB and lambda 5 genes associate with each other to form a light (L) chain-like structure, surrogate L chain. It can Ig-like complexes three partners-the classical heavy (H) chain, DHJHC mu-protein, or newly discovered p55 chain; these are expressed on surface of pre-B cells at different stages development. Here, Fritz Melchers colleagues review structures in mouse their relatives humans, describe pattern expression, speculate possible evolution functions.
