摘要: Biodegradability is a key property of biodegradable polymers for tissue scaffold applications. Among the methods to control biodegradability, laser processing simple technique, which enables alteration biodegradability even after molding. Since ultrafast realizes precise polymer with less heat affected zone, has potential fabricate scaffolds and its biodegradability. In this study, we investigate effect femtosecond wavelength on PLGA. We evaluated PLGA irradiated pulses at 800, 400, 266 nm by measurement change in mass during water immersion. The results degradation tests indicate that shorter show faster absorption as well rapid decrease. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis chemical bonds are dissociated more significantly, acceleration biodegradation could be attributable decrease molecular weight bond breaking.
