摘要: Fetal and neonatal outcome is reported for 249 consecutive low-risk pregnancies in which early amniocentesis was carried out with filter technique, at a mean gestational age of 12.5 weeks, to improve the yield cell cultures. Three (1.2%) were terminated because abnormal test results, four stillbirths (1.6%) occurred between weeks 33 38, five lost spontaneously after sampling, corresponding 2% unintended fetal losses before 28 gestation. Of live-born infants, 2.9% delivered prematurely, all 32 37. Malformations orthopedic postural deformities not associated leakage found expected rates. None cases follow-up. The increase abortion rate caused by technique likely be within same range as that seen routine transabdominal chorionic villus although sample too small proper risk evaluation.
