摘要: Antibodies directed against haemagglutinin, measured by the haemagglutination inhibition (HI) assay are essential to protective immunity influenza infection. An HI titre of 1:40 is generally accepted correspond a 50% reduction in risk contracting susceptible population, but limited attempts have been made further quantify association between and efficacy. We present model, using meta-analytical approach, that estimates level clinical protection at any level. Source data were derived from systematic literature review identified 15 studies, representing total 5899 adult subjects 1304 cases with interval-censored information on titre. The parameters relationship estimated Bayesian inference consideration random effects censorship available information. A significant positive was observed all tested models. This found be similar irrespective type viral strain (A or B) vaccination status individuals. Although limitations used should not overlooked, this analysis provides means predict efficacy inactivated vaccines when only immunogenicity available. can also useful for comparing different based their immunological profile.
