摘要: Hypoxia, the result of an inadequacy between a disorganized and functionally impaired vasculature metabolic demand tumor cells, is feature glioblastoma. Hypoxia promotes aggressiveness these tumors and, equally, negatively correlates with decrease in outcome. Tools to characterize oxygen status are essential for therapeutic management patients glioblastoma (i) refine prognosis, (ii) adapt treatment regimen, (iii) assess efficacy. While methods that focal invasive nature limited use, non-invasive imaging technologies have been developed. Each characterized by its singular advantages limitations terms oxygenation The aim this short review is, first, focus on interest hypoxia better second, discuss recent pertinent approaches assessment oxygenation/hypoxia their direct implication patient care.
