摘要: The alleviation of hypoxia in glioblastoma with carbogen to improve treatment has met limited success. Our hypothesis is that the eventual benefits depend on capacity for vasodilation. We examined, MRI, changes fractional cerebral blood volume, oxygen saturation, and oxygenation level dependent signals response carbogen. analyses were performed two xenograft models glioma (U87 U251) recognized have different vascular patterns. Carbogen increased contralateral tissues. In tumor core peritumoral regions, vasodilate rather than resting volume. highly vascularised U87 tumor, induced a greater increase volume saturation comparison less vascularized U251 tumor. signal revealed delayed tumors relative tissue. Additionally, we highlight considerable heterogeneity within which multiple compartments co-exist (tumor core, rim regions). Finally, our study underlines complexity flow/metabolism interactions glioblastoma. These irregularities should be taken into account order palliate intratumoral clinical trials.
