摘要: Abstract Background/Aims: This study aimed to investigate the pathogenesis of reduced plasma levels branched-chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine in cirrhosis. Methods: Cirrhosis was induced by intragastric administration 36 doses carbon tetrachloride olive oil over a period 12 weeks. Rats treated with alone served as controls. The rates leucine turnover, clearance, oxidation incorporation into proteins were evaluated using [1- 14 C]leucine, [4,5- 3 H] α-keto[1- C]isocaproate days after last treatment vivo isolated perfused liver. Results: In animals cirrhosis we observed profound fall significant decreases tissue proteins. A more pronounced resulted increase oxidized fraction rats compared Leucine clearance higher group. Concomitant whole body protein ketoisocaproica cid decarboxylation lvier However, increased control rats. Conclusions: Our results indicate that predominant mechanism decrease is an associated turnover. An cirrhotic liver one mechanisms involved.
