Quality of life and functional impairment in obsessive–compulsive disorder: a comparison of patients with and without comorbidity, patients in remission, and healthy controls

摘要: Several studies have demonstrated that obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is associated with interference in quality of life (QOL) and functional impairment. However, these did not compare individuals remission to who continue the disorder, predominantly used comparisons norms a matched normal sample, always consider impact comorbidity. We administered multiple measures assess QOL impairment 66 OCD patients had previously consented for clinical trial, 36 age sex denied any psychiatric history. Results confirm was significantly lower compared healthy controls areas work, social life, family life. Individuals other comorbid diagnoses showed poorest functioning, depression accounting much variance.
