摘要: The aim of the present study was to investigate relationships between alexithymia, suicide ideation, C-Reactive Protein (CRP), and serum lipid levels in adult outpatients with a DSM-IV diagnosis Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Seventy consecutive patients GAD were recruited evaluated. Measures Hamilton Scale, Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20), Suicide Ideation (SSI), Montgomery Asberg Depression Rating (MADRS). All assessed for: CRP, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density (LDL-C), total (TC), triglyceridaemia (TG), very-low-density (VLDL-C). TC/HDL-C LDL-C/HDL-C ratios also Alexithymic showed higher scores on almost all rating scales altered CRP vs. non-alexithymics. In hierarchical regression model, presence MADRS together at Difficulty Identifying Feelings dimension TAS-20 associated rates ideation. Although alexithymic subjects may show dysregulation, this latter seems independent increased rather Feelings, subthreshold depressive symptoms. Study limitations future research implications are discussed.
