摘要: Abstract This work evaluated the potential of a volatile oil extracted from Syagrus coronata seeds for control Aedes aegypti. The was by hydrodistillation, characterized gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), and larvicidal ovicidal activities, as well influence on choice oviposition site females. effects swimming activity larvae were also investigated. extraction showed yield 0.41% GC-MS revealed that 98.42% composition corresponded to following fatty acids: octanoic acid (40.55%), decanoic (17.39%) dodecanoic (40.48%). promoted death A. aegypti larvae, with LC50 21.07 ppm, but had no action. octanoic, decanoid acids 51.78, 24.01 19.72 ppm, respectively. incubated during 1 3 h significantly (p
