摘要: The dietary supplement market in Poland has been growing rapidly, and the number of registered products their consumption increases steadily. Among most popular easiest to get are herbal supplements, available any supermarket. aim this paper was investigate mercury content supplements. supplements that have examined (24) on Polish contain one or more ingredients. Supplements were pulverized porcelain mortar identified by AMA 254 atomic absorption spectrometer. range variations for all tested within 0.02–4293.07 μg/kg. arithmetic mean total result 193.77 μg/kg. A higher then found preparations—bamboo shoots alga Chlorella pyrenoidosa. studies shown is present every supplement, its exceeds two preparations (with bamboo alga) permissible limit 0.10 mg/kg. There statistically significant differences occurrence depending ingredient supplement. lowest preparation with Tanacetum parthenium highest shoots. form a supplement—a tablet capsule. Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly calculated—the results did not exceed PTWI—provisional tolerable weekly intake mercury. To increase consumer safety, it imperative conduct further research implement stricter quality control
