摘要: Cytochrome P450 1A1 (CYP1A1) polymorphisms are known to play a crucial role in the development and metastasis of malignant diseases including esophageal cancer. However, results previous studies investigating association between CYP1A1 cancer risk have been inconsistent. This meta-analysis 27 eligible studies, encompassing 4,215 cases 6,339 control subjects, pooled odds ratios (ORs) with corresponding 95 % confidence intervals (95 CI) assess this association. The effects ethnicity (Caucasian Asian) histopathology type (esophageal squamous cell carcinoma adenocarcinoma) were considered subgroup analyses. A significant was observed Ile/Val gene polymorphism all genetic models (Ile/Val vs. Ile/Ile, OR = 1.41, CI 1.25–1.58; Val/Val 1.94, 1.34–2.82; + 1.49, 1.33–1.66). analysis based on showed that existed Asian Caucasian populations. no MspI either or overall population. These suggested associated an increased cancer, whereas may not susceptibility Further required confirm these findings.
