Photoluminescence properties of LiF bismuth silicate glass

摘要: The sample (60-X) Bi2O3-30SiO2-XLiF where X=10, 15, 25 were prepared by conventional melt quenching method. X-ray diffraction pattern conformed the amorphous nature of and a broad peak at 2θ=30°. Raman spectra confirmed that Bi can exist both network former (BiO3 pyramidal) modifier (BiO6 octahedral)in glass matrix. samples showing absorption 470nm is due to presence Bi2+ ions, because increasing optical basicity edge blue shifted. photoluminescence under 350nm excitation are two main peaks 430nm 630 nm Bi3+ respectively LBS yellow, 15LBS near bluish white 10LBS luminescence. color purity correlated temperature also calculated.
