摘要: Moderate declines in prospective memory (PM) are common among older adults, but whether such decrements associated with everyday functioning problems is not well established. To examine this issue, we administered the Memory for Intentions Screening Test (MIST), Prospective and Retrospective Questionnaire (PRMQ), Activities of Daily Living (ADLQ) to 50 healthy Australian adults as part a broader neuropsychological battery. In series hierarchical regressions controlling demographics, medical/psychiatric factors, other neurocognitive functions, MIST event-based PM score PRMQ scale were significantly total number instrumental ADL (IADL) domains which participants reported needing assistance. Extending prior findings clinical populations, results indicate that lower uniquely mild, concurrent IADL adults. Future investigation potentially moderating effects cognitive behavioral compensatory strategies may be beneficial.
