摘要: The piezoelectric performances of lead ziroconate-titanate ceramics are much improved by an addition niobia, and they called the "modified" staffs Clevite Research Center. Microscopic observation these shows many pink precipitates segregating out grains. These parts luminescent in incidence electron beam. probe microanalysis reveals that rich Zr poor Ti, Nb Pb. amount increases with niobia. In x-ray diffraction measurement, lines characteristic to baddeleyite-type structure become observable increasing amounts though weaker than perovskite type spectra. facts us conclusion a niobium ion occupies Ti-Zr site expelling ziroconium as result, modified consist two phases, zirconia phase perovskite-type solid solution phase. latter has composition Pb1-x/2 ((Zry-Ti1-y)1-x-Nbx)O3. comparison physical properties those ones gives further evidence for this expectation.
