摘要: African swine fever (ASF) is one of the major setbacks to development pig industry in Nigeria. It enzootic southwest We determined sero-prevalence and factors associated with ASF among-herd seropositivity 144 farms six States from Nigeria during dry rainy seasons using indirect Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for IgG antibodies. An interviewer-administered questionnaire was used collect information on demography, environmental management factors. performed descriptive statistics, univariate multivariable analyses determine its The overall herd 28 % (95 Confidence interval CI) 21 – 36); it significantly higher (P <0.05) season (54 %; 95 CI 37 70) than (18 11 27). In analysis, having a quarantine/ isolation unit within 100 m radius regular pen (OR = 3.3; 1.3 8.9), external source replacement stock (OR = 3.2; 8.3) (OR = 5.3; 2.2 12.7) were risk seropositivity. logistic regression, there interaction between size. Our final model included season, stock, size season. Herds an always had compared herds internal source. effect varied seasons. level year samples taken modified by encourage strict compliance biosecurity measures, especially measures that minimize movement Nigeria, order enhance free farms.
