摘要: Abstract The effect of pollution diesel particulate filters on their thermal and chemical stability has been studied. Commercial cordierite supports were contaminated, separately, by Fe 2 O 3 , ZnO V 5 evolution after treatment in the range 800°C to 1200°C was followed XRD SEM. presence had little effect, whereas reacted completely even at lowest studied temperature, giving crystalline silica aluminium magnesium vanadates; formation a zinc silicate, aluminate with spinel structure glassy phase observed above 1000°C ZnO-contaminated samples. differences reactivity nature reaction products explained taking into account low melting point its acidic character. microstructural changes correlated mechanical properties supports.
