摘要: Abstract Cordierite (Corning EX-66 100/25) catalyst support samples, contaminated by Na 2 O and CaO, have been studied in the temperature range 800–1200°C X-ray diffraction (XRD) scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The experimental results suggest that CaO-contaminated samples behaviour is strongly influenced Ca 2+ ion diffusion rate; additional crystalline phases microstructures develop at different temperatures. At 1200°C, anorthite, a tectosilicate, forms same way as carnegieite nepheline form case of contamination 800–1000°C. All these similar composition; their formulae are 2CaO2Al 3 4SiO 2Na O2Al . For O-contaminated formation high-temperature liquid phase can explain presence observed glassy phase. In earlier studies CaO- mechanical properties were obtained four-point bending (modulus rupture); data be correlated with present investigation.
