摘要: We isolated two spontaneous variants of mycoplasma virus L2. Both variants, designated L2ins1 and L2ins2, contained a 3.1-kilobase-pair (kbp) insertion in the 11.8-kbp wild-type L2 genome. The insert DNA was shown to be derived from noncontiguous regions genome, L2ins2 differed only location 3.1-kbp insertion. also miniviruses serial passages L2, L2ins1, viruses. Miniviruses circular molecules 3.1 kbp or multimers kbp. Minivirus DNAs had same sequences as found were not infectious interfered with growth viruses; hence, appeared defective interfering particles.
