Comparison of universal screening with targeted high-risk case finding of thyroid disorders in pregnant women

摘要: Background: Given the high prevalence of thyroid disorders during pregnancy and importance these in pregnant women studies on relationship between dysfunction adverse outcomes, still there is no consensus effectiveness screening all early regarding among international scientific communities recommend targeted high-risk case finding approach to identify pregnancy. The purpose this study compare universal with for diagnosis Iranian women. Materials Methods: present a cross-sectional that was carried out 1600 their first trimester. After data collection using questionnaires, risk status terms estimated by check lists factors. Then, incidence characterized based clinical examinations measuring serum levels T4, TSH, TPOab T-uptake. were identified predictive factors determined regression analysis. Results: conducted 1,600 women, 36.5% (n=584). According results hormonal tests group 42.9% (n = 386) low-risk 28.3% (198 patients) diagnosed type disorders.
