摘要: Abstract This paper presents evidence for microstructural changes that can occur in aluminium alloys when subjected to fatigue stress. These represent induced damage, and take the form of slip band zones about 500 A wide. Although they are only clearly revealed under torsional stress it is believed damage must precede initial crack any stressing these alloys. Fractographic a two stage fracture mechanism given, distinctions made between various forms striation encountered. An attempt has been present simple geometric models show relation deformation, cleavage surface.
