摘要: Abstract Investigating individual differences in humor has become a popular topic for personality research. Three approaches to humor-related styles were proposed the literature, namely Craik, Lampert, and Nelson's (1996) five bipolar of humorous conduct, Martin, Puhlik-Doris, Larsen, Gray, Weir's (2003) four styles, Ruch, Heintz, Platt, Wagner, Proyer (2018) eight comic styles. The present study aims determine how many can be empirically distinguished by comparing Humor Styles Questionnaire (Martin et al., 2003) Comic Style Markers (Ruch, Heintz 2018) sample 570 German-speaking adults. findings showed redundancies among three scales, affiliative, self-enhancing, aggressive fun, benevolent humor, sarcasm. One style (self-defeating) (nonsense, wit, irony, satire, cynicism) distinguishable between two measures. Thus, these suggest that at least nine should distinguished. Eventually, developing comprehensive model valid measures cumulative research programs is needed understand unfolds our everyday lives it applied effectively interventions.
