摘要: The third hypervariable domain (V3) of the human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1) envelope protein (env) can serve as an epitope for potent type-specific neutralizing antibodies (NAbs) -- thus short peptides predicted on most commonly found variants antigenic tip V3 loop have been considered potential candidates HIV peptide vaccine. To evaluate extent intrapatient variation in immunogenic crest loop, sequence sets were analyzed from individuals whom multiple sequences available. Several strategies selecting best hexapeptides to represent variable and their effectiveness was evaluated by comparing them with individuals. Most carried at least one, frequently many, that did not match any among ten common hexapeptides. Intrapatient viral increased including derived brain biopsy specimens well blood. Additionally, obtained different had elements which conserved corresponding blood samples, suggesting certain amino acids may be requisite propagation themore » CNS.« less
