摘要: Abstract Statistically significant late results of coronary artery bypass procedures will be unavailable for 5 to 10 years. This report summarizes a critical analysis the present status 480 patients followed up 1 30 months after bypass. Thirty-day hospital mortality was 6.2 percent and appears declining. Arteriographic studies have shown only 220 without at least functioning graft. Graft occlusions appear early technically oriented ranged from 11 14 percent. Significant symptomatic improvement as determined by cardiologists observed in 92 patients. According functional classification there striking shift preoperative New York Heart Association classes II, III, IV, class I result improved myocardial blood flow. No degenerative changes autogenous vein grafts been observed.
