摘要: Machining of metal matrix composites has always been challenges for manufacturing engineers due to the presence hard and brittle reinforced particles. In this article, a new way alternate application electrical discharge grinding abrasive applied through use slotted wheel. The developed machining process named as grinding. performances are tested on aluminum–silicon carbide–graphite (Al/SiC/Gr) composite workpiece. experiments were performed using one parameter at time approach considering effect current, pulse on-time, off-time, wheel speed grit number material removal rate average surface roughness. It found that current ranges from 3 15 A 700 1300 r/min more appropriate Al/SiC/Gr within selected parameters.
