Starch, sucrose biosynthesis and partition of carbon in plants are regulated by orthophosphate and triose-phosphates

摘要: Abstract Inorganic phosphate is a potent inhibitor of the enzymes directly involved in synthesis sucrose and starch, while 3-phosphoglycerate an activator ADP-glucose synthetase, enzyme starch synthesis. Phosphate also required for transport triose phosphates from chloroplasts to cytosol fructose 2,6 bisphosphate, metabolite that inhibits fructose-1,6-bisphasphatase stimulates glycolysis cytosol. Coordination these regulatory phenomena probably plays important role regulating both partitioning carbon between reserve polymer disaccharide.
