摘要: The concentrations of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs), as well the levels a number heavy metals, have been periodically measured in samples soil vegetation collected around municipal solid waste incinerator (MSWI) Tarragona (Catalonia, Spain) for approximately 20 years. Since 2007, above-mentioned pollutants also determined air by means either active or passive samplers. In present study, data regarding environmental impact MSWI, terms PCDD/Fs are updated. temporal trends these were evaluated comparison with from previous surveys. current survey (2013–2014), mean soil, vegetation, 0.63 ng I-TEQ/g, 0.07 ng 10.1 fg WHO-TEQ/m3, respectively. Decreases 47 35 % respectively, observed relation to background study (1999). Regarding samples, slight decrease PCDD/F was found remaining staying nearly constant through time. With respect notable fluctuations noted, being dependent on each specific monitor. Overall, exposure metals does not any additional health risks population living near facility. conclusion, results show that MSWI is significant, after >20 years continuous operation.
