摘要: Inducing apoptosis has become an important approach in the development of new anti-cancer treatments. Tumour necrosis factor inducing ligand (TRAIL) based therapies have emerged as one most promising examples this they selectively induce tumour cells. However, many primary tumours are inherently resistant to TRAIL-mediated and require additional sensitisation. Here we review apoptotic non-apoptotic TRAIL-signalling, therapeutic effects TRAIL-based treatments both monotherapy combination with sensitising agents.
