摘要: Recent technological advances have dramatically reduced the cost of DNA sequencing. In addition, these methods require lower quantities and qualities than did previous generation molecular techniques. As a result, genomic-scale studies natural populations endangered species, including those using noninvasively collected samples, are increasingly feasible. Such potential to advance our understanding behavior, demography, evolutionary ecology, biogeography, population history, contribute prioritization conservation efforts. I point number salient examples. However, there also some current limitations challenges associated with this scale genomics research in nonhuman, nonmodel species. Here, describe practicalities present state while providing what is intended be straightforward walkthrough technology involved.
