摘要: Abstract Magnesium aluminium hydroxycarbonate compounds with the hydrotalcite structure (“Feitknecht compounds”) and molar ratios of Mg-to-Al 5–10 have been prepared without formation considerable amounts separate magnesium compounds. Subsequent calcination yields magnesia-rich mixed oxides, which combine high surface areas good stability towards heat steam. These “stabilized magnesia” a pronounced basic character are very active in double-bond isomerization 1-pentene. They may find application as solid base catalysts or catalyst supports.
