摘要: The insulin receptor (IR) and the insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-IR) belong to same subfamily of tyrosine kinases with two extracellular α-subunits transmembrane β-subunits. They share a high similarity structure intracellular signalling events. However, IR IGF-IR mediate different effects on metabolism, cell proliferation, apoptosis differentiation. Although some variation can be attributed tissue distribution or subcellular localization, it also explained by structural differences in β-subunit, which may result activation specific substrates signal pathways.
