摘要: Materialism and social comparison are important issues, especially in a Chinese context, amongst adolescents. In this paper theoretical model of the endorsement materialistic values by adolescents was proposed tested. A survey secondary school students Hong Kong revealed normative peer influence communication were positive predictors with friends. addition, motivation for advertisement viewing predictor media figures. Social friends figures both materialism. The implications discussed, recommendations further research.
