摘要: We characterized a Brassica miniature inverted repeat transposable element (MITE) from the Stowaway superfamily, designated BraSto (Bra ssica Sto waway). copy number was assessed using real-time quantitative PCR in two diploid species B. rapa (genome A) and oleracea C) corresponding allotetraploid napus AC). Phylogenetic relationships among set of 131 copies were then analyzed. appears to have been only moderately amplified genome still active recently with marks proliferation both species, which diverged 3.75 million years ago, but also after reuniting differentiated genomes. insertion sites for low-divergence gene space bioinformatics approaches. For localized nearby or within genes, we observed frequent associations putative promoters regulatory regions exclusion coding regions. In addition, significantly similar several expressed sequence tags (ESTs), including stress-induced ESTs. demonstrated enrichment sequences binding transcription factors other elements. Our results lead question role regulation expression: this role, if further confirmed experimentally, would help obtain new insight into significance MITEs functional plant genome.
