摘要: Desert dust is one of the natural contributors to atmospheric particulate matter worldwide. Although pollution has been shown adversely affect pregnancy, available evidence on impact episodes pregnancy very scarce. The aim this study was evaluate Saharan complications (preeclampsia and bacteriuria) outcomes (birth weight gestational age at delivery). This based a cohort births (N = 3565) that occurred in major university hospital Barcelona during 2003–2005. To determine episodes, we developed two-stage approach meteorological presence cloud over region unusually high levels ground while taking account traffic sources. associations between number whole as well each trimester were analysed. There 152 days (out 838 days) with from which 45 determined episodic days. We did not observe any statistically significant harmful effect our included outcomes. However, observed small but increase delivery association third (0.8 0.5 respectively). Our findings suggestive for adverse
