The distribution of the common hamster (Cricetus cricetus) in western Ukraine

摘要: The aim of this study was to determine the current range common hamster (Cricetus cricetus) in western Ukraine by checking points occurrence known from literature, personal reports and museum collections. According RUSIN et al. (2013) reported 23 localities grouped 12 areas 7 oblasts Western Ukraine. In total, we confirmed eight found one new locality. highest densities occured around Hrymailiv, Ternopol oblast Halych, Ivano- Frankovsk oblast. located vicinity Lutsk Volyn oblast, Chernovtsy between Sambir Old Lvov represent medium density populations. Low very low were close Kamieniec Podolski, Khmelnitskiy general, it can be stated that Upland Podolia are still inhabited hamster. Moreover, habitat conditions support existence possibilities contact with populations neighboring countries also discussed paper.
