摘要: This paper evaluates the optimal calcination temperature and replacement ratio to ensure high metakaolin (MK) pozzolanicity in blended cement. The MK used was prepared by firing two types of local at temperatures ranging from 700 850 oC. Dry blends ordinary Portland cement (OPC) varying proportions were mixed with amount water required consistency resulting pastes. specimens cured 100% RH for 24 h then immersed 3, 7, 28, 90 or 180 days. At each test time, degree hydration compressive strength hardened pastes measured findings showed that most suitable obtain is oC, while ranges 25 30%. DTA determine phases comprising products forming ages studied. Pure OPC OPC-MK 3% NaCl 5% MgSO4 solutions 30, days measure their durability. solution observed be highly resistant chloride attack.
