摘要: A review of breast imaging has already appeared in 1982 this journal. Consequently, the present article concentrates on a discussion only those developments more recent nature. Although emphasis is placed physical aspects different methods concerned, essential factors relating to clinical background and associated radiation risk are also outlined. The completeness detail depends importance method under discussion. X-ray mammography, which still most important technique proved be an effective for cancer screening, therefore treated greater detail. Since early 1980s, ultrasound B-mode scanning evolved indispensable adjunct x-ray mammography. For Doppler sonography, diaphanography, contrast-enhanced MRI, CT DSA, visualization tumour essentially enhanced vascularity lesion. Whether will prove reliable indicator malignancy remains shown controlled studies. Common all systems increasing use digital signal processing, offers possibility computer-aided diagnosis by texture analysis pattern recognition.
