An epidemiological study of pityriasis rosea in the Eastern Anatolia

摘要: The purpose of this study was to investigate the epidemiological features pityriasis rosea (PR) in Eastern Anatolia, Turkey. Three hundred ninety-one patients (214 females, 177 males) with PR seen during years 1992–1995 were analyzed for annual incidence among dermatologic outpatients, sex, age, and distribution by month year. average 0.75 per 100 patients. reported be slightly more common women margin 1.2:1.0. Eighty-seven cases between ages 10 39 years, a peak 20–29 age group. disease much higher rainy snowy months. No declining observed over years. Changes from year year, though not great, statistically significant.
