摘要: Abstract Cuprous oxide (Cu 2 O) thin films were prepared via a one-step chemical bath deposition (CBD) approach. The samples preferentially orientated along the [2 0 0] direction, with ∼52 nm crystallite size. photocatalytic activities of Cu O evaluated by degradation methyl orange (MO) under visible light irradiation and monitored using UV–vis spectrophotometer. results confirmed that photodegradation efficiency was dependent on several parameters, such as amount H pH MO solution. optimum solution determined to be 113.75 μl 5, respectively. A kinetic study had been performed, kinetics observed follow pseudo-first order model. mechanism responsible for enhanced activity in presence explored detail. In recyclability tests, film photocatalysts exhibited high activity, morphological orientational transformation. Interestingly, subsequent cycles higher than first cycle, which due large specific surface area morphology-transformed photocatalyst.
