A retrospective study of bone changes in adults treated with etretinate.

摘要: Ninety patients aged 17 to 80 years were treated with etretinate for disorders of keratinization and studied bone changes. The treatment lasted from 0.1 7.9 years, mean 2.4 years. average dosage was 0.57 mg/kg/day (range 0.21 1.32 mg/kg/day), the total dose 31 gm 1 197 gm). Standard radiographs axial peripheral skeleton evaluated. films 44 showed skeletal abnormalities such as periosteal thickening, hyperostosis vertebral column, disk degeneration, osteoporosis, calcification spinal ligaments, slender long bones. present data indicate that risk in adults is significant (44 90), but severity changes minor.
