摘要: Background The pes cavus deformity has been well described in the literature; relative bony positions have determined and specific muscle imbalances summarized. However, we are unaware of a cadaveric model that used to generate this foot pathology. purpose study was create such for future work on surgical conservative treatment simulation. Materials methods We custom designed, pneumatically actuated loading frame apply forces otherwise normal feet while measuring motion as force beneath foot. dorsal tarsometatarsal intercuneiform ligaments were attenuated three imbalances, each similar believed cause deformity, applied plantar measured. Results Only one (overpull Achilles tendon, tibialis anterior, posterior, flexor hallucis longus digitorum longus) successful at consistently generating changes seen feet. This imbalance led statistically significant including hindfoot inversion, talar dorsiflexion, medial midfoot flexion forefoot adduction an increase lateral mid- forefoot. Conclusion created approximates general compared These mirror patterns produced by several disease mechanisms. Clinical relevance Future will entail increasing severity exploring various strategies.
