摘要: 1. Leghaemoglobins were extracted from the root nodules of lupin (Lupinus luteus L.) and serradella (Ornithopus sativus Brot.) plants fractionated into different leghaemoglobin components on DEAE-cellulose–acetate columns. 2. The first two fractions eluted columns loaded with either or leghaemoglobins in Fe3+ oxidation state. 3. These have protohaem IX as prosthetic group glycine N-terminal amino acid. 4. Other properties are: component I, pI5.08, molecular weight 19000; II, pI5.13, 20600; pI5.00, 17500; pI5.05, 19100. 5. are thus heterogeneous respect to size charge.
