摘要: The results of recent studies suggest that overexpression the EGF receptor accompanied by production its ligands is an important characteristic human squamous cell carcinomas. which transmits growth promoting or inhibitory effects epidermal factor (EGF), transforming alpha (TGFalpha) and amphiregulin a member type I family receptors possess tyrosine kinase activity. In this review we a) discuss role played in transformation normal cells, b) analyze evidence for expression as prognostic markers cancer patients c) indicate ways overexpressed EGF-receptor system on malignant cells can be targeted therapeutic application.
