摘要: Since the first report in nineteenth century, there have been numerous reports on isolation and characterization of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) peripheral blood patients with various carcinomas. In general, CTCs observed cancer at very low concentrations 10−7–10−8 normal cells. The is considerable biomedical interest order to understand how these can travel via stream anatomically distant sites form metastatic disease. Recent progress molecular oncology enables us detect highly sensitivity specificity, several studies indicated prognostic value CTC detection gastrointestinal cancers. Detection measurement cancers such as colorectal, gastric, pancreatic be useful a promising tool for judging stage, predicting metastasis patient survival, monitoring response therapy. Standard procedures established, clinical relevance should verified large-scale trials. However, suggested provide information staging anticancer treatments practices near future.
