摘要: We describe two complications arising from the inadvertent introduction and inflation of a retention rectal balloon catheter in vagina. Barium entered uterus, fallopian tubes peritoneal cavity one caused forniceal tear venous intravasation other. In both cases misplacement was attributed to atrophy perineal body. Various recommendations have been made reduce risks associated with use catheters but we wish emphasize importance digital examination define anatomy gloved finger guide into rectum.
