摘要: Inhibins and activins are protein hormones that reciprocally modulate a diversity of regulatory pathways. Competitive binding experiments revealed betaglycan, the type III TGF-β receptor, also functions as an inhibin receptor. Betaglycan augments to ActRII activin By augmenting ActRII, betaglycan effectively sequesters away from thereby reduces signaling. In addition, ActRII-betaglycan complex may generate novel signals distinct those initiated by signaling via ALK4. is produced in discrete nuclei rat brain specific cell types within adult pituitary, testis, ovary. The presence inhibin-responsive tissues types, together with ability this protoglycan bind confer sensitivity, consistent role inhibin-specific receptor mediating responses various tissues.
