摘要: To the Editor. —Catalona et al1express proper caution regarding value of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening in general population, noting that its benefits reducing mortality have not been established. However, their findings can actually be used to estimate possible adverse associated with PSA and sequelae among men 75 years age older. Recently, Fleming al2demonstrated by use decision analysis that, compared watchful waiting, radical prostatectomy 70 older localized prostate cancer only lacks treatment superiority, but generally appears harmful. This is due two facts: first, it has yet demonstrated clinically cases, from reduced after cases treated surgically; second, older, 30-day postoperative
