Departing from the Human-Environment Interaction Model (Kuller, 1991), a hypothetical model environmental and individual antecedents was tested using structural equation modeling survey data (n = 391). In bear, main predictor appraisal species as dangerous/uncontrollable unpredictable. wolf, greater experience stronger wolf dangerous, uncontrollable, unpredictable led to low social trust this, together unpredictable, increased likelihood fear. Efforts reduce human wolves should focus on building between public authorities, whereas efforts individual's species.
